Haverfield Gardens, Kew
The 5 Mews Houses are in the very last stages of construction with external works and finishing off to decoration being completed. Michael Johnson @ Rockhold took time out of his schedule to show us round. The scheme makes fantastic use of the site to create deceptively spacious properties with great outside space shared between stepped basement patios, rear gardens and roof top terraces.
After a particularly lengthy planning process and a very challenging build, it is encouraging to see the regeneration of this former lock-up garage site. Located in a fantastic area we look forward to seeing the fully completed houses and hopefully all parties will emerge positively from the process.

Cromwell Road Bus Station, Kingston
Commissioned by Transport for London, Forge Design Studio provided Volker Fitzpatrick with the technical architectural skill and expertise to steer the project from RIBA Plan of Work Stage 4 through to completion.
The project was completed approx. 8 months ago and has been used 24/7 since then and we are very pleased to say that it looks as fresh and as well-used as it did when it was first handed over to TfL. It is an extremely busy inter-change serving more than 17,000 passengers per day.
The carefully chosen materials and robust detailing are standing up well to the use and it appeared to be coping well with the rigours of the location. The complex steel roof structure was really striking and had weathered-in beautifully.
Flower Pots Brewery, Cheriton
Work on the shell is nearing completion at the Flower Pots Brewery Extension. The full extent of the internal space can now be appreciated as well as the connection to the rear of the original barn.
We are very pleased with the seamless connection between the new and the original – the Client had been really keen to maintain the original appearance of the barn when viewed from the entrance – we think that has been achieved. The care and attention to detail is paying off with the use of the oak rafters and sarking boarding working particularly well.
We have been working closely with the German suppliers of the Brewery equipment which is due for delivery in October. Looking forward to seeing the whole scheme coming together and being able to enjoy the first beer from the new premises!!
