An Teallach, Moonzie Mill, Balmullo

Taking full advantage of the recent spell of great weather, construction work is drawing to completion on our site in Fife. A great effort by the team at @SwilkenJoiners saw nearly 400 tons of spoil being moved off site and all the external works being completed. The full potential of the site has now been realised with the 360 deg views that first attracted us to the plot being viewed from all of our internal spaces.

The final internal plan is working well and we’re really pleased with the light and airy feel of the interiors. The orientation of the courtyard garden to the north-west is also ideal and we’ve already enjoyed a number of spectacular sunsets.

Following a recent visit by the Building Inspector from Fife Council we have now received our Completion Certificate. We are excitedly preparing to launch the property as a short term holiday let. Some great feedback has been received and we are confident that it will be a successful and popular venture.

We’re also happy to report that we have checked out the exact travel times to the first tee on the Old Course in St Andrews ….. its 12 minutes door to tee!!  

We have learned many lessons during this process and look forward to bringing these to bear in future projects.
